Tijuana, Mexico

A beautiful west coast weekend always goes hand-in-hand with a road trip down to Mexico!

As a San Diegan, I have the privilege to only be about a 40 minute drive away from Tijuana, Mexico, a border city that gives easy access to other cities in Baja California like Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo, and Valle de Guadalupe. The scenic route drives along the coast and the views are unparalleled.

Because my family and I were planning on going down to Mexico anyways, we also packed some collected clothes and took them along across into Mexico. We stopped at the best horseback riding stop down the route: directly along the beach, and just past Puerto Nuevo. We spent some time enjoying the beach there and we also started distributing clothes at that spot to any one who wanted an extra shirt or two.

The people seemed happy and pleased about their new clothes, and I enjoyed talking to these people and having regular conversations with them before packing up and continuing our road trip through Baja California.
